Happy Friday to y’all!  And welcome to another Feature Friday.  This week I’m introducing you to Erica, with Designing Vibes.  She is just up the interstate from me in Chattanooga, TN and she has a beautiful blog full of inspiration on fixing up houses.  She and her hubby bought their first house, a brand new Craftsman style, but decided later on that they wanted to cut costs so she could stay home with their 2 boys and they sold that home and bought an 80’s fixer upper which they’ve been working on for the last 2 years. I admire that so much and I know you will love seeing what they’ve done to their house to really update  it and make it beautiful. Erica has a gorgeous Boho style and is colorful and patterned and really enhances their home.  I think you’re going to enjoy this one!  And Erica was just featured in this month’s I Did It column for Better Homes and Gardens for her innovative pendant light shades over her kitchen island, so take note of that.

We had a nice Father’s Day this year with our Daddy.  We picked up BBQ from a local place and took it over to mom and dad’s to celebrate the day and let him know how much we love him.  We all enjoy BBQ and it was a good meal to share together.  He’s such a good Daddy and we always want to take the time to celebrate him.  He will be turning 90 next month and we have to figure out a time for all of us (including Lauren) to celebrate his birthday, since July is shaping up to be a really busy month for the whole family.

Hi, friends, it’s Wednesday again, it sure rolls around fast!  As usual, it’s been a pretty casual week for me and as summer arrives, I don’t do a lot of dressing up. Dressing down, in fact is the norm for me as this season brings hot weather and I just want to be cooler. Summer just calls for dressed down clothing for me!

Hope you’re having a fabulous weekend!  Last weekend was Scott Antiques market here in Atlanta. It’s held once a month in two huge buildings off I-285 and we love to go and browse.  I can’t believe it’s been since last Fall that we were there, but it’s always fun to browse and see what’s new there.  We see a lot of the same vendors, but others who are new and I love to snap pics of things that catch my eye.  Who knows, I might be looking for something and then I’ll know where to go and find it!

Welcome to another Feature Friday!  I’m back today with another blogger, Julie Blanner, who blogs at the same name and who has an easy, casual, classic style that I just love. You’ll get lost in her pics and her simple, yet impactful way of decorating her house. She’s not into a lot of stuff, but the things she displays are classic and beautiful.  I love getting back to traditional and classic roots and want to go that direction more myself.  It’s always in style and just feels and looks so good!  Enjoy this beautiful home tour of Julie’s home in the Midwest. She’s been blogging almost as long as I have and she started her own events planning company right out of college, but then parlayed that into her beautiful lifestyle blog, where she shares recipes, simple living, entertaining, and home design ideas.

Summer Home Tour 2017

On June 15, 2017 By

Hi my friends!  I’m joining a talented group of bloggers today sharing our Summer home tour.  If you’re new to my blog, welcome, so happy you dropped by.  I have to confess, I don’t do a lot of things differently for summer, so I’m not sharing a whole lot inside my house for this post.  But I am sharing my explosion of hydrangeas this year since they are putting on quite the show and that is way more interesting and exciting than anything going on inside my house right now.  We’ll peek inside the house, but the show is out here, let me tell ya!

A big thanks to our hostess Marty, with A Stroll Through Life for putting together this wonderful Summer home tour and inviting me to be part of it. Be sure and go over to her blog to see the rest of the week’s bloggers.

Hi, friends!  I’m back with Fashion over 50 today with a repeat from  last year. This is a cute, cute cold shoulder top that I got from Glamour Farms last year when I was working with them regularly. We aren’t doing anything right now, so I don’t have any codes for you, but this is probably my most fave top I got from them.  It’s such a pretty color and how could I NOT pose in front of my gorgeous hydrangeas in this color?  I met one of my girlfriends out for dinner and it was fun to dress up a little.
